You know that anti-free trade thing that all the economic experts told us wouldn't work? The Trump tariffs that would NEVER work to bring back American jobs?

Well, about that ... we've got two different stories today that give Americans some more hope.

First:

Yep. Rolls-Royce, known for its luxury car brand also manufactures planes and defense equipment and it is reportedly bringing its engine manufacturing to American shores to avoid tariffs.

From Breitbart:

London's Daily Telegraph reported that Rolls-Royce is currently drafting contingency plans to avoid the impact of trade restrictions imposed by the Trump administration. The plans are said to include ramping up production in America and hiring more workers in the United States.

According to the report, the aerospace and defence company is considering shifting production from countries impacted by the trade war, such as China, Canada, and Mexico, where it currently has around 6,000 workers.

And if that wasn't good enough:

This is a huge investment into America and American workers as a business friendly administration is finally back in charge.

The Chairman of Hyundai is visiting Trump's White House today to make the announcement.

The plant is set to hire roughly 1,500 employees and will produce next-generation steel that will be used by Hyundai's two U.S. auto plants to manufacture electric vehicles. The investment is expected to be announced Monday at the White House by President Donald Trump, Hyundai Chairman Euisun Chung and Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry.

Hyundai's announcement comes as major international conglomerates are racing to dodge tariffs and avoid a trade war ahead of Trump's April 2 tariff deadline. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Japan's SoftBank are among the major foreign players that have visited the White House in the last two months to announce big U.S. onshoring plans.

The tariffs are apparently working. At least, they're working for 1,500 Louisianans looking for good work, and for the Alabama and Georgia Hyundai employees who will also be getting a boost from the investment.

I'm so happy to be writing these types of headlines again.
