Connor, who calls himself @FeelsGuy2003 on Twitter, recently appeared in a debate on Jubilee's YouTube channel ... let's just say, he managed to pack some of the most unhinged takes I've ever heard into one sitting.

Brace yourself. πŸ˜¬πŸ‘‡

He somehow makes the British leftist β€” Mehdi Hasan β€” he's debating come off as the sane one β€” calm, rational, and, "quite frankly," more American than he is.

In the full clip, he says "quite frankly" about 427 times. Feel free to watch if you want the full context:

Let's walk through some of his outlandish claims really quick.

  • Acknowledges the Constitution should "serve the people" (true), but then argues it should be changed β€” or outright ignored β€” "whenever it doesn't" (by what/whose standard, is what I'm wondering?).

  • Says Trump doesn't care about the Constitution … and somehow presents that as a good thing.

  • Openly calls himself a fascist β€” his own words.

  • Praises Spanish fascist dictator Franco.

  • Claims we should use democracy to get to an autocracy, and then abolish democracy.

  • Rejects democracy, instead promoting autocracy, authoritarianism, and restricted rights.

  • Believes the rule of law is malleable and should only be applied to his "enemies."

  • Is a big fan of Nazi philosopher Carl Schmitt, particularly his "Friend/Enemy" distinction, which boils down to "I can hurt you if you hurt me." (This guy also claims to be a Christian/Catholic, which is rather odd given that philosophy).

  • Denies β€” at best dramatically waters down-the Holocaust (because of course).

  • Claims America is for white people, almost exclusively.

Well, Medhi was right about millions of people watching his interview. Turns out, the software consultancy firm that employed him didn't like the heat and immediately fired him.

This has set off a big debate: Was it okay for a company to fire an employee for going public on the record with his political beliefs, however unsavory (and outright dumb) they may be?

In my humble opinion, the real debate is over who deserves to be canceled and how far it should go. We all have a line β€” we just draw it in different places. In this case: does the punishment fit the offense? Was firing Connor fair and justified?

Take the CEO caught mid-affair at the Coldplay concert β€” was he a victim of cancel culture? Was he unfairly fired? Or was he simply facing the consequences of his own moral failure, which publicly embarrassed himself, wrecked his family, and damaged the company's reputation globally?

If someone becomes a liability to a company's public image, and risks costing them money, the company has every right to cut ties β€” and perhaps a legal obligation in some cases (fiduciary duty to shareholders). There's no legal or moral obligation to keep someone on board who deliberately brands themselves as morally toxic β€” like, say, publicly outing themselves as a Nazi. This is called freedom of association.

Anyway, you ladies and gents can debate that in the comment section (can't wait to read the comments on this one!).

Connor has now launched a GiveSendGo, asking for donations as he claims to be a victim of leftist cancelation.

He's also out there posting about Jesus' love, showing that he understands some of the Gospel, but needs to pick up his Bible and actually read it (otherwise he wouldn't be supporting Nazism).

The contradictions abound. Connor, on one hand, parrots Carl Schmitt and proudly advocates using political power to punish his "enemies," even if it means bending or ignoring the Rule of Law. But then, in an interview with Elijah Schaffer, he claimed he's not in favor of canceling anyone actually.

The list goes on and on...

The contradictions don't seem very Christian or conservative to me. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
