Most of us, when we strap on a pair of skis, want to hit the slopes and shred a little.

But if you're born with skis instead of feet, the calculus is a little different:
From the Dodo:
Junie is a 5-year-old cat with green eyes who loves tuna. Like many cats, she's picky about who she trusts and meows loudly for attention. Unlike many cats, Junie doesn't just walk โ she skis.
Both of Junie's front legs bend inward at the wrists, with her paws facing up. Junie's mom, Emily, who asked that her last name be omitted, worried that the position was painful. But vets assured her that it's not. And anyone watching Junie glide across the floor like she's cruising through fresh powder can tell she is living it up with her unique paws.
It's true โ you can see this unique feline's unique paw structure just by looking at her:

Okay, to be sure, it seems like the cat's got all her bones intact. They're just shaped a special way โ leading her to get around in a very special way, too:

You love to see this kind of adaptability! Apparently the cat is otherwise entirely in good shape:
Vets diagnosed her with bilateral front limb deformity, telling Emily that Junie's bones and ligaments are healthy, so it could be a neurological issue. ...
"She is always surprising me with how capable she is," Emily said. "I just love when I catch her doing something that you wouldn't expect her to maybe be able to do."
Thanks for the inspiration, Junie!
