As of Sunday afternoon, the death toll in the Texas floods has reached 70 and there are no signs that this number won't still climb.
In Kerr County, officials reported 59 deaths — 38 adults and 21 children. Officials said 11 children are still missing from Camp Mystic.
The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, declared Sunday July 6th a day of prayer in Texas for the victims, survivors, and search and rescue, and recovery teams.
The governor also added the message that "prayer works."
Search and rescue operations continue in Texas, and recovery teams won't be far behind.

I believe the governor's call for prayer ought to extend beyond the borders of Texas and that we should join our hearts with those hurting in the Lone Star State.
