Here's a quick update about the ICE shooting in Dallas earlier today.
An assassin on a rooftop across from an ICE detention facility shot three immigrant detainees, then ended up shooting himself, and the motive is becoming clear.
The FBI is investigating this incident as an act of targeted violence. It is, unfortunately, the most recent example we've seen of targeted violence ... Early evidence that we've seen from rounds that were found near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ICE in nature.
Yes, the alleged killer had inscribed anti-ICE messages on the bullet casings which FBI found near his body after the shooting.
Here's Kash Patel, FBI chief, posting that evidence:
One of the cases literally says "Anti-ICE."
(According to Jimmy Kimmel and Matthew Dowd's logic, is it some MAGA supporter shooting in celebration of deportations?)
A bloody photo depicting the shooter after he took his own life shows a bolt-action rifle, potentially chambered in 308 or .03-06, the round that killed Charlie Kirk.
This is what we know about the shooter so far:
He was a 29-year-old named Joshua Jahn from Collin County, Texas. From his social media posts, he looks to have been a normal kid with a loving family. In one picture, he even poses with relatives as an ornate cross hangs on the wall behind them.
Jahn had a prior arrest in 2015 related to illegal drugs. He was fined $3,500 in that incident.
A gaming account reportedly connected to Jahn shows a potential lean into leftwing views that may have radicalized him.
Jahn's mother is reported to be Sharon Jahn, a former school administrator who follows leftwing organizations, including U.S. Democratic Socialists.
She has previously blasted Republican lawmakers in Texas for gun violence.
Another day, another violent woke terrorist?
