Witness the OT goal that won unranked Vermont their first-ever NCAA soccer title

Hey guys, I found an actual exciting thing that happened in soccer.

A Cinderella story for the ages right here: The University of Vermont, which has only six previous NCAA championships (all in skiing), won the NCAA National Championship in soccer with this sudden-death overtime goal against Marshall.

Vermont, a national champion!

Usually reserved for skiing, or maybe someday hockey, this was set to play out like any other Cinderella story, where the team makes it deep into the tournament and eventually loses.

But last night the Catamounts were crowned NCAA Champions in soccer!

Vermont won their conference tournament (American East), they beat #7 Hofstra, San Diego in OT, #2 Pittsburgh, and #3 Denver on their way to the national championship.

A Cinderella story if I've ever heard one!
