Congratulations to the extra 30,000 babies who are alive because of Roe v. Wade's repeal ✊

Don't ever let any cynical people tell you that abortion bans have no effect. Because baby, they sure do:

A new study finds that more than 30,000 babies have been born that would have otherwise been aborted since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade.

The Institute of Labor Economics conducted a study that looked at the effects of the high court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.

They found that 32,000 babies were born in states that have enacted some form of abortion restrictions.

Thirty. Two. Thousand.

Folks, 32,000 is a lot of babies.

That's 32,000 innocent lives — innocent baby boys and girls — saved from being killed. All because states are once again permitted to craft their own pro-life laws after the wretched Roe repeal.

As we reported earlier this month, the "total number of abortions provided in the U.S. rose slightly in the 12 months after states began implementing bans on them throughout pregnancy, a new survey finds." And yet

the number [of abortions] fell to nearly zero in states with the strictest bans.

Bans work!

It definitely helped that so many states were poised to bring the hammer down: "Within hours of [Roe's repeal], abortions were halted in 10 states, either in response to a ban triggered by the decision or to the expected enforcement of a pre-Roe abortion ban that was still on the books. "

If you live in a state where abortion is still legal, don't give up. Don't stop fighting. Your efforts can save the lives of countless precious babies.

There's still a long fight ahead. But it's a good fight and we'll win it in the end. Forward!
