Security footage from around 3 a.m. Saturday shows a dog escaping not just from the kennel at Huntington-Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter in West Virginia, but also unlocking the front door and letting himself out.
WATCH:

Shelter staff member Andrea Parkins told WSAZ,
It's crazy. People have been wondering if it was AI. We wish it was.
With all the bizarre AI hoaxes in the world, I'm not surprised people are asking, but I wouldn't be so quick to underestimate animal intelligence.
Parkins went on to say,
We want to find him and for him to go to a good home, someone who is dog savvy and escape artist savvy, apparently.

The dog has still not been relocated, but given his intelligence, I think he'll do just fine on his own in the wilds of West Virginia.
