We're all familiar with the old tumbleweed trope thanks to cartoons bouncing one by every time they want to show a wasteland scene.

And while California's politicians are certainly trying to turn the state into a dystopian wasteland with all their crazy policies, I'll admit I didn't expect things to get this bad, this fast.

Check out this giant mutant tumbleweed cruising down a Californian road.

The Spanish comment there reads, "the mother of all tumbleweeds."

And it certainly is. That thing is as big as a car.

And this isn't as bad as it gets.

Back in 2018, an entire Californian town was buried by tumbleweeds, but those were at least normal sized.

What happens if the tumbleweed army starts growing more Goliaths like this one?
