New Law Allows California Police To Arrest Shoplifters Again

BREAKING: California to jail criminals.

Citizens in California overwhelmingly voted for Proposition 36, which allows police to arrest repeat shoplifters no matter how much they stole.

Previously, shoplifters in California were allowed to steal up to $950 in merchandise and get away with just a ticket, if they even got that.

Now, with the law in effect, arrests have already begun.

California Governor Gavin Newsom had opposed Proposition 36, saying "Prop. 36 takes us back to the 1980s, mass incarceration, it promotes a promise that can't be delivered."

His sentiments largely reflect what many of the state's elected officials feel. To understand how wildly out of touch the woke California politicians are with their own constituents, consider that last year, the state senate voted to make it illegal for store workers to stop shoplifters.

Thankfully, the voters have told those commies to go pound sand. People are sick of the lawlessness.

Is California turning around? Is nature healing? Or is this just a temporary reprieve on the road to California's doom?
