First the videos, then we'll talk about it.
[Warning: Language, Violence]
(Pay attention to the sign on the truck, because we'll talk about it in a sec.)
This happened at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday in Westwood as hundreds of people gathered to protest the Iranian regime (massive riots are underway in Iran right now, which you probably haven't seen if you still watch the fake news).
One man was struck by the U-Haul, though no significant injuries were reported.
The driver almost got wasted by the mob, however:

Police detained the driver, pending further investigation.
Okay, remember how I told you to remember the sign?
Fox News has the wording if you forgot:
A banner displayed on the side of the truck read, in all capital letters, 'NO SHAH. NO REGIME. USA: DON'T REPEAT 1953. NO MULLAH,' along with another banner written in a foreign language.
Mullahs are the Islamic religious leaders who currently rule Iran under the direction of Ayatollah Khamenei. The shah refers to the previous king, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was deposed by the mullahs in 1979.
The reference to 1953, meanwhile, is warning about overthrowing one dictator just to replace him with another.
See, toward the end of the Ottoman Empire in 1906, Iran adopted a constitutional monarchy framework from Western nations that limited the king's powers. But then during WW2, the U.S. and the Soviets invaded Iran, deposed Mohammad Reza's dad, and took control of the nation's oil resources (to keep a certain mustached German away from them).
After WW2, however, the U.S. and Russia weren't buds anymore, so when a new Iranian prime minister wanted to exert more control over Iran's oil extraction, the CIA and MI6 weren't happy.
They ended up supporting a coup against the prime minister that gave Mohammad Reza complete control.
As you can imagine, this made quite a few Iranians unhappy, which led to support for the mullahs and a return of Islamic theocracy.
Two decades later, well...

The Los Angeles protests were in support of Mohammad Reza's exiled son, Reza Pahlavi, who seems keen on ruling Iran if the mullahs are overthrown.
That has been your update on LA U-Hauls and Iranian politics!!
