If you're Jewish or Christian, the Ten Commandments are kind of a big deal — you know, with the whole "moral foundation of the Western world" thing.
One of those commandments is "thou shalt not steal," and it looks like this particular message was missed in the United Kingdom.
Three illustrated plaques stolen from St. Andrew's Church in Little Steeping, Lincolnshire, included a painting of the Lord's Prayer, and two of Moses giving the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20.
The 8th Commandment about stealing is right in the middle of this plaque:
British police are probably busy arresting people for praying in their own homes, but they did find time to put out a press release, asking "Have you seen these religious paintings which have been reported stolen from a church in Spilsby?"
According to police, the church didn't have any signs of forced entry, and have asked citizens to keep their eyes open for these illustrated panels on places like Facebook Marketplace.
Hopefully the perp spends some time reading what he just stole!
