Two Latvians, a Spaniard, and a Thai walk into a church and a lady pastor says, "I now pronounce you man and man and man and man."

No, that's not a joke. That's literally what happened in Germany recently.

4 people = a lot of love!

Love is love, I'm told, so why not?

So goes the logic of the 33-year-old Pastor Lena Müller, who posted (and then deleted) photos of this ceremony on her Instagram.

Here's The Times:

One of the largest branches of the German Protestant church has defended a pastor after she blessed a relationship between four men and called the ceremony a 'marriage in the eyes of God'.

The 'polycule' attended a pop-up wedding festival at the St Paul the Apostle church in Berlin as part of a programme offering free blessings for couples who wished to avoid 'lengthy formalities'.

It wasn't technically a "legal" marriage, it was instead a "blessing." But also, in the eyes of this church denomination it WAS, in fact, a marriage "in the eyes of God."

One of Germany's largest denominations is endorsing gay polycules.

Müller said the men had spoken English with one another and seemed radiantly happy together. 'You could see right away that there was so much love between them,' she told the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung newspaper. 'Why should God have anything against there being four of them rather than two?'

I'm not entirely convinced that this pastor has even opened up a Bible. I'm sure that fellow German Martin Luther and St. Paul, for whom her church is named, are rolling in their graves right now.

Here's BZ Berlin, a German magazine:

Same-sex couples have been married in the Protestant church for years. Müller's principle is: 'If people make their decisions on equal terms, autonomously and consensually, then I don't see it as my job as a pastor to tell people what to do in their bedrooms.'

Marriages involving three (or four) people are illegal in Germany - legally, they can only be entered into between two people. Under civil law, polygamy is even a criminal offense. Naturalization is not possible by law if the applicant is living in a polygamous marriage.

There's no law, cosmic or civil, that will stop a liberal lady from doing all she can to bring the downfall of civilization in the name of "empathy."
