The White House Correspondents' dinner came and went this weekend and while no one cares, I think there actually is good reason to care.
Here's what the press thinks of itself:
No president, no comic, just journalists and free speech!

And, by the way, it's true. The keynote speaker in ABC's cover photo, MSNBC's Eugene Daniels, is NOT a comic. He simply chose to dress as a clown.
Look at all the self-congratulatory applause. This is for an MSNBC employee claiming that the press is NOT the enemy of the people.

Steve Deace responded to this line better than I ever could have.
That wasn't even the worst of the night.
The absolute worst part of the night of terror was the press acting like we should trust them BECAUSE they were "bamboozled" by a dementia-addled President who was somehow able to "hide" this fact from the media.
They want you to buy this:
President Biden's decline and its coverup by the people around him is a reminder that every White House regardless of party is capable of deception...We, myself included, missed a lot of this story and some people trust us less because of it.
Man, the media was just tricked into believing that this guy...

...was totally with it for 4 years.
BUT HOW COULD THEY HAVE KNOWN!?

Yeah, you better believe that they weren't allowed to forget that they weren't victims of a hoax, they were perpetrators.
I'm gonna tap the other sign.
