The LPGA bans men from women's golf (for the most part)

Can you feel it? That's the cultural vibe continuing to shift to the Right.

I know we shouldn't take this as some kind of huge victory, but given the insanity of the past few years, this is a definite sign of rightwing pushback working.

It's not a total ban on men, unfortunately. If you "transition" as a child before puberty they'll still let you pretend to be a girl on the golf course. Otherwise, if you're a boy you're a boy and if you're a girl you're a girl.

The policies, which begin in 2025, follow more than a year of study involving medicine, science, sport physiology and gender policy law.

The updated policies would rule out eligibility for Hailey Davidson, who missed qualifying for the U.S. Women's Open this year by one shot and came up short in LPGA Q-school.

Hailey Davidson, the dude above, was almost the first bro on the LPGA tour. Now we have to wait until some poor butchered boy grows up to break that barrier.

The LPGA is using all of their "science" and "studies" to justify the ban, couching the decision in scientific language. In reality, there's no need to study this. We know what a boy is and what a girl is.

But they're trying to cover their butts, so I get it.

The LPGA and USGA said their policies were geared toward being inclusive of gender identities and expression while striving for equity in competition.

Just once, I'd like to see a organization simply say, "No boys allowed" and leave it at that.

But for now, if this is what it takes to push sanity back into the world of sports, I'll take it.
