No meat puns here, no beef jokes, we're all grownups and we're beyond that. Just a simple story of law enforcement doing their duty:

A standard traffic stop in Cypress Wednesday led to police seizing more than $1,000 of stolen raw meats.

Houston-area men Anthony Trevino and Robert Stevenson were arrested Wednesday after a sergeant conducting the traffic stop at the 29100 block of Northwest Freeway noticed a large amount of un-bagged meat packages in the back seat of the vehicle, according to the Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

You got to give it to a cop's instinct: The police laid eyes on "a large amount of un-bagged meat packages" and they just new something was up.

Turns out the meats were "stolen from H-E-B, Walmart, Food Town and Kroger," according to court documents. And man, these crooks had been busy:

I mean what are you going to do with all that oxtail? Open a Jamaican restaurant? Cook something for Guy Fieri?

As for the crooks, "their bonds were set at $2,500 each, and under their bond conditions, Trevino and Stevenson are ordered to have no contact with the four stores."

I doubt Kroger and Food Town will complain about that one!
