In an interview with the BBC meant to promote the Paramount+ reboot of the tremendously popular Frasier series, star-of-the-show Kelsey Grammer was asked about his support of Donald Trump.
Here's how that went:
Two takeaways.
- First, Kelsey Grammer still supports Trump. Good on him.
- Second, the producers at Paramount are so incredibly fragile that they ENDED the interview because Grammer wasn't afraid to say what he thought!
Here's the Paramount execs' live reaction to Grammer:
Interviewer: I have to say, Kelsey Grammer himself was perfectly happy to go on talking about it. The Paramount+ PR people, less happy that he talked about it at some length.
Interviewer 2: They'll be really thrilled that you mentioned that on air.
Interviewer: Really thrilled! Anyway, they decided we'd had plenty of time for our interview. But I should stress that he was absolutely perfectly happy to talk about why he supported Donald Trump and still does in the coming election.
Oh no! The man on TV doesn't have the same politics as me! We have to shut him up!
I guess I'm going to have to watch this newest version of Frasier now!
