Leftists would have you believe that this is what the Founders intended when they talked about freedom of religion:
I'm not sure on the methodology here, or where this anonymous account got its claims, so I dug into the data bit more to look at the trend of mosque growth in Texas in recent years.
Every ten years, the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU) conducts its US Mosque Survey in collaboration with Faith Communities Today. In 2020, the survey found that the number of mosques in Texas had grown 35% since 2010, from 166 mosques to 224.
Online data scrapers, which pull information from Google Maps, Facebook, and other various directories, list as many as 330 mosques in Texas as of 2025.
This number is repeated in a Democrat-led bill (HCR18) introduced in the Texas House to recognize May 2025 as "Muslim Heritage Month," giving the number more validity:
Texas has the largest Muslim population in the southern U.S., and more than 330 mosques and Islamic centers are located in the state...
As for the 48 mosques opening in Texas since 2023, The Gateway Pundit has a similar number in an op-ed from November 14:
In Texas, the pace is brisker: 47 new mosques in 24 months, including 224 in Dallas-Fort Worth and 109 in Houston. Fresh domes dot Irving's Belt Line Road since 2023, alongside schools like Brighter Horizons Academy (1,700 students, bolstered by $2.1 million in federal funds) and the Islamic School of Irving, where young children prioritize Quran memorization over core curricula. Good Tree Academy, with 400 segregated pupils since 2024, exemplifies this rapid entrenchment. Europe's fortresses of faith became breeding grounds for isolation; Texas's versions, amplified by sprawling suburbs, could solidify faster.
The number of mosques and Islamic schools could potentially be much higher, as Muslim migrants purposely bill their religious efforts under the guise of "community centers" and other such euphemisms to keep native populations from being alarmed.
One such project is an all-Muslim city, first called "Epic City" and now rebranded "The Meadow," which is moving forward despite pushback from the governor:
On November 6, the Houston Chronicle even celebrated a new Ismalii (a branch of Shia Islam) mosque in the city.
This quote from Houston's mayor should tell you all you need to know:
'We're here to recognize the Ismaili community's greatness, and in doing so, we get to show the greatness of the city of Houston,' Mayor John Whitmire told the audience in a speech that praised the city's diversity.
'This is a historic event,' Whitmire added. 'Pause a moment and realize what we're experiencing, what we're witnessing.'

Texas is not alone in the explosion of Islamic mosques in recent years.
Overall, the US Mosque Survey from 2020 found 2,769 mosques across America, which is a 31% increase from 2010.
World Population Review, pulling its data from Wikipedia (so take it with a grain of salt), lists at least 15 states with more than 100,000 Muslim residents.
New York has the most, with over 720,000 Muslims.

And as always, there's a Charlie Kirk tweet/speech for everything. π
