Are your Christmas cookies made in India?

(Please make sure your sound is on. You will thank me.)

Similar viral videos have exploded in popularity over the last week, with some internet sleuths claiming they've tracked down the factories themselves:

(Again, sound on πŸ˜‚)

One more:

As the TikTok videos have gone viral, Americans have begun checking ALL their food labels, something this anti-Indian Pakistani account was all to eager to note:

(Shrimp from Indonesia sold in Walmart were recently labeled radioactive by the FDA.)

Indians have not taken kindly to the wave of hate on TikTok and X. While they are not denying the claim that their country mass-produces Danish Christmas cookies, they are offended by the insinuation that they can't produce Danish Christmas cookies as professionally or as tastefully as anyone else!

In the midst of the information war, it's hard to know who is pushing for what agenda. The Chinese government controls TikTok, and even though the Trump admin forced the American branch of the company to sever some of its ties to the Chinese commies, one must wonder if the Gen Z TikTok addicts aren't doing the bidding of Beijing.

At the same time, English-speaking social media (much like North American neighborhoods from Toronto to Houston) has been flooded in recent years with tens of millions of Indian accounts.

Many of these accounts have American-sounding names like "The Governor," making it hard to know who is who in the comment section.

The most infamous account with one of these Western names is "Inevitable West," which is allegedly run by a "crypto scammer" in India ... as reported by an English-speaking Pakistani news outlet? 😭

It's a convoluted web of anonymous accounts, NGOs, and media outlets where no one knows who is who or who supports what.

The propaganda war between China, India, Pakistan, and normal Americans who don't like mass migration or Hindu monkey gods in Texas is a thing to behold, but with 1.5 billion English speakers in the world and only a fraction of those coming from historically English countries like Britain, America, Canada, Australia, or the U.S., it's going to get even wilder from here.

Hopefully, you'll continue to trust the all-American team at Not the Bee to help you wade through the chaos.

As for where to get your Danish Christmas cookies ... best to stick to name brands, probably. πŸ˜‚
