Let's see if the Netherlands is doing something about all the migrant rapists.

Oh, nope, they're imprisoning two Dutch guys for projecting "white lives matter" on the Erasmus Bridge during Rotterdam's New Year's countdown in 2022.

Facts matter, so let's talk about where Dries is right and wrong. He's correct that the court upheld the men's sentences, but the appellate court actually reduced their jail time to 2 months (with community service and parole requirements afterward). In its decision, the court noted that both men had no prior records.

Dries is also correct is that the sentence was not for vandalism, or some other related charge. The words they projected on the bridge are the reason they were arrested (more on that in a sec).

As for the words, it's important to note that the men also projected a quote from U.S. white supremacist David Lane, who was sentenced to 190 years in prison following his 1985 arrest for conspiracy against a Jewish radio host.

The quote, known as the "14 words," goes like this: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."

Another message that read "Happy White 2023" was also projected.

More from Dutch News:

'Locals, people on the street and more than a million television viewers who were watching the count down to midnight were confronted with slogans which claimed people of colour and with darker skins were inferior to white people,' the court said in its verdict. 'Freedom of speech goes far, but there are limits.'

The court thinks its laws on freedom of speech "go far"?

The men certainly chose a few unsavory messages to include, but nothing that directly disparaged other ethnicities. I also recall that the black supremacist group Black Lives Matter was allowed to publicly demonstrate - and was even platformed by public officials in the Netherlands.

Only Marxists, with their warped worldview about power and "inequity" believe there is a difference between championing a black supremacist movement that seeks to secure a future for the black "race" and a white supremacist movement that seeks to secure a future for the white "race."

And yet, that is exactly the double standard that the Netherlands, like most Western countries, are upholding. Why does one racial message get government approval, while another racial message gets jail time?

As woke officials embrace the beliefs of BLM and other anti-white supremacy movements, native Europeans are increasingly being pushed toward white supremacy movements of their own. Many Europeans are asking: If everyone else is going to be racist against white people, why shouldn't the whites be racist?

Others are desperately trying to stay away from ethnic tribalism, but their complaints about mass migration or double standards are being called racist anyway.

It's maddening.

Sadly, the court decision to make an example of these Dutch men may increase racist sentiment, not decrease it.
