Tennessee Star journalist Michael Patrick Leahy is being ordered to appear in court to defend himself against possible contempt charges and jail time for publishing the leaked writings of the Covenant school shooter.

Even as we watch most of the media becoming loyal regime mouthpieces and propaganda outlets, it's good to see there are still a few good journalists left willing to stand up to power and bring truth to the people.

The fact that he's being threatened with prison for doing his job is an outrage.

The writings, which were covered in the Tennessee Star and The Daily Wire, revealed the trans shooter was motivated by anti-white hate and transgender activism.

The writings were also covered in this lengthy thread by Matt Walsh:

The judge ordering Michael Patrick Leahy is Chancellor I'Ashea Myles of Davidson County, pictured below:

The case raises serious concerns about free speech and the right of a journalist to protect his sources.

The leaked manifesto and journal entries, despite containing newsworthy information on the motivations behind one of the most tragic mass shootings of the decade, was mostly ignored by the mainstream media.

Now that a journalist is being threatened with jail for refusing to disclose his source, the media is also ignoring that story as well.

Fellow journalist Michael Shellenberger interviewed Leahy on the matter, pointing out that the leak of the Pentagon Papers in 1971 by New York Times writer Daniel Ellsberg has already established the right of a journalist to protect his or her sources.
