Rabbits are going to do what rabbits do.
That's what a Saginaw County woman found out when she bought her kids a couple of adorable pet bunnies that quickly got to work.
‘The resident had attempted to separate the rabbits in her basement in hopes of stymying their breeding. The rabbits got around this by chewing through drywall and other materials, making it impossible to contain them,' Tali Faris-Hylen of East Lansing-based Ripple Public Relations.said.

When the authorities responded to her plea for help, there were over 65 bunnies in the house, and many of the females were pregnant. Baby bunnies were being born every day.
A lot of the rabbits were in bad shape. Many had fungal infections and bunny syphilis (apparently, that's a thing) was rampant.

The rabbits have been separated into several animal shelters and at least one of the shelters is offering to pay for all the initial care of the adopted rabbits.
‘The main thing we're looking for is a loving home for the animals that are going to fosters [sic],' said Animal Shelter Administrative Clerk Jana McMichael. ‘We provide all of the supplies, you just provide the home.'
Here's a local news interview:
Don't worry, they're spaying and neutering all the bunnies before they're adopted, so you don't end up in the same situation.
