The Virginia Tech Hokies, for the past 25 years, have entered Lane Stadium during home games like this:
Honestly, what better way to hype up your team and your crowd than some Metallica?
Well, on Wednesday night, on a leg of their M72 World Tour, Metallica stopped by to play their first-ever live show at Lane Stadium. And though the stadium has tipped the Richter scale in the past during those team intros, this time was a bit more special.

Obviously a lot of Metallica fans in attendance, but you know there are a bunch of VT college kids there too.
The quake, now dubbed the "Metallica Quake," was too minor to register a rating, but is still considered a "small earthquake."

Metal fans, while they may seem intimidating, are some of the most friendly and down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. And crowd surfing a man in a wheelchair is just something those people do, because they're awesome.
