I bet you didn't know Jimmy Kimmel Live! won the Critics Choice Award for Best Talk Show.
I also bet that you've never heard of the Critics Choice Awards. It's an award show where a bunch of Hollywood elites get together and give each other awards to make themselves feel like they've accomplished something.
But Kimmel battled life and death itself to get there:
As far as having Trump to thank for this win, well, Jimmy is 100% correct. The rumor was that FCC Chairman Brendan Carr pressured ABC to pull Kimmel's show from the air after Kimmel seemingly slandered Charlie Kirk just days after his assassination.
Carr works for Trump, and Trump is a dictator who has had a bunch of bad things to say about Kimmel, yada, yada, yada...
So of course Kimmel owes at least part of his win to Trump. For the most part, however, he has himself to thank for using the assassination of a conservative commentator to get clicks.
