Israeli forces are using an honest-to-God trebuchet to launch Greek fire and I have the sudden urge to boot up "Age of Empires"

You love to see it.

WE ARE SO BACK.

Unfortunately, Israeli forces weren't using the trebuchets to lay waste to forces of Saladin. Instead, they were using them to clear thick brush on the other side of their northern border with Lebanon. Burning away said brush will keep enemies (Hezbollah, in this case) from covertly approaching the border wall.

(It will also prepare the area for Israeli forces to move north of the border to deal with Hezbollah, a move that would add another spicy twist in this war.)

For the time being, Israel is staying on its own side of the border and lobbing Greek fire from a freaking trebuchet to solve the problem.

And that's not all:

They're apparently using bait canons as well:

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go boot up Age of Empires 2 and fight the Saracens!
