A brave white knight Democrat, Bill Keating (D-MA), just stood up to a mean old Republican, Keith Self (R-TX), who correctly referred to a dude in a dress, "Sarah" McBride (D-DE), as "Mister."
The Democrats are beyond parody.
Self: 'I now recognize the Representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride.'
McBride: 'Thank you Madam Chair'
Yes, McBride tried to defend himself from alleged "misgendering" by ACTUALLY misgendering Rep. Keith Self. But then Rep. Keating stepped in to bring the theater-kid-level anger.
Keating: 'Mr. Chairman, can you repeat your instruction again, please?'
Self: 'Yes, we set the standard on the floor of the House and I am simply-'
Keating: 'What is that standard, Mr. Chairman? Will you repeat what you just said? When you introduced a duly elected representative from the United States of America! Please!'
Self: 'I will! The Representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride.'
Keating: 'Mr.? Chairman, you are out of order! Mr. Chairman have you no decency? I've come to know you a little bit, this is not decent.'
Self: 'We will continue this hearing.'
Keating: 'You will NOT continue it with ME, unless you introduce a duly elected representative the right way!'
Dude's throwing a legit hissy fit!
Self had the perfect way to handle this nonsense.
Self: [Bangs gavel] 'This hearing is adjourned.'
