Edan Alexander, who holds a dual American-Israeli citizenship, was the last living American citizen held hostage by Hamas.

He is now home safe in Israel.

Here's the moment President Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff handed the phone to Edan's mother and she heard his voice for the first time in 500 days.

Even better:

Edan Alexander was born in Israel but moved to the United States as a baby. He graduated from Tenafly High School in New Jersey three years ago and moved to Israel to volunteer with the Israeli military.

He was captured at age 19 in southern Israel while serving at a guard post near the Gaza border.

He is now 21, having spent over a year and a half being held hostage by Ismaili's terrorists.
