Update: According to police, Chris Louis wasn't at a job interview when he left his three children at a Georgia McDonald's for 1 hour and 42 minutes on March 22, though he did have an interview earlier in the day. The children were left at the McDonald's from around 4:30 p.m. until 6:18 when the father returned and was arrested.
Original story:
It is absolutely amazing to find a story where 95% of people agree with each other. What we have here is a rare unicorn of internet consensus.
So this dude had a kid at 14, had two other kids since, is trying to hustle to take care of them and get himself a steady job, and he was arrested for leaving them alone in a McDonald's for a few minutes while he went down the block for an interview.
The youngsters — ages 1, 6 and 10 — spent their time alone in the restaurant, which has an indoor play area attached to the dining room.
Dad left for a few minutes, came back to check on them, then left them again.
Then some busybody called the cops.
Richmond County sheriff's deputies arrived at the restaurant and located the unharmed, unaccompanied minors, who remained inside the store until their father returned.
The cops went and checked on the kids, they were fine, the dad came back a few minutes later, and he was arrested.

Surprisingly, the internet being the type of place it is, has some sane takes on the matter.
The entire internet is out here defending this dude!
Chris Louis is facing charges of deprivation of a minor for his "cruel" and "heartless" deed.
